You follow this method to decide what you want to target as your niche for your adsense site. It does take some research but be patient and follow through until you find what you are looking for.

I said earlier that you should try and find something that you have a keen interest in and that still holds true, but again it is not set in stone.

Between the three options and looking at the Google and Yahoo search results I have decided to take on the term heath insurance. Now, the most I know about health insurance is paying it and sometimes the problems that I have when they need to pay. For me to write articles on health insurance I will have to do some research and read up as much as possible about the subject.

But let’s cross that bridge when we get to it for now we want a name.

You will notice the competition is tough for health insurance but not impossible.

Now the first thing is to get a domain name for the search term I chose for my Google Adsense site. It does not matter what niche you choose to base your site on the process is the same.

I decided on the term health insurance and here are the reasons.

• If you have a look under Yahoo and Google you will find that the first ten sites on page one does not have any adsense ads on them.

• The pay per click is high and people in the industry are paying a lot of money for a click.

• The search results in yahoo and Google are about 50% the same so when I get in I will rank well in both search engines.

I am doing the results against Yahoo and Google simply because MSN will follow a similar route to Yahoo, but you will be able to tweak your results once the site is indexed and you know where you are placed.

Now for getting the domain name. An easy way which I used is to go to Godaddy.com and search for a name. The first one I tried was www.heath-insurance-quote.com. You will see that this is one of the search phrases from our results. But that was not to be, it was already taken, so I went for my second option www.first-health-insurance.com. Guess what it was available and I registered the name.

The importance of the name lies in the words health insurance. In search engines like Yahoo and MSN they do give importance to a name which reflects the search terms and health insurance will work well for the site.

Now that there is light at the end of the tunnel lets take the dog for a walk so we can clear our heads for the next step.
So no matter what you decide on doing and what you would like to target just follow these steps to find your appropriate niche and get you domain name within the search terms you would like to target.
